The Project- Adirondack Wind Partners seeks to establish a wind park in the strong, steady winds passing over the Gore and Pete Gay Mountains in Warren County, New York. Located about 80 miles north of Albany at the site of a former mining operation, the wind park represents a step toward meeting our energy needs in a sustainable way.

About 10 turbines at the site could produce up to 30 MW of power and supply over half of the 26,000 homes in Warren County, the equivalent of removing over 11,000 automobiles from the road.

While under construction the project will create jobs for local communities. Once underway, it would produce significant tax revenue and deliver green energy to local businesses and homes, helping bring New York closer to its goal of 25% renewable energy generation.
